DS Math Software

The DS Math software was born out of my frustration trying to track the calories I was absorbing. I have used online tracking sites, but the ads drove me nuts, the quality of the information was sometimes questionable, and the calories, I knew, didn't apply to me.

I hit a major stall about 5 months out, and one of the veterans suggested eating more, and that maybe I wasn't taking in enough calories to keep my metabolism up. So I fired up a spreadsheet, and got to work trying to track. Well, it wasn't easy and it was hard to keep updating days. I found the very lovely programmer, Gene Swank , while looking for help with repeating the formulas I'd created. Gene suggested writing the whole thing in Java, and voila, DS Math was born!

The best thing about this software is that it is very flexible, and we think it is pretty simple to use. Gene and I have tried to make it as user-friendly as we could, within our own limitations. We would love to get any feedback from you. And if you really like it and use it, please consider making a contribution to Gene the programmer. It would not have been made without him - and he did it entirely for free, out of a desire to help DSers.

Please read the instructions! They are pretty detailed, but they can save you a lot of headaches down the road. It is pre-loaded with Val's Ricotta Fluff recipe, some supplements and foods I liked.
